COMMISSION POLICIES
Copyrights of all illustrations (including custom orders and digital file orders) are non-transferable with sale. If you're interested in purchasing the copyright for your commissioned image, please contact me. Commercial use of any commissioned work is not allowed unless a commercial use contract is separately discussed before work begins.
Any commissioned illustrations may be used for future advertising and promotional purposes including, but not limited to: my social media, website and hard copy print. All identifying features (names, addresses etc) will be removed. If you would prefer me not to use your custom illustration for these purposes, please contact me to discuss while your commission in still in-progress.
If your commission requires me to work from a photo, please ensure you have copyright (it's your photo) or have approval from the copyright owner (ex- your wedding photographer) before sending me the photos for use.
Customers are responsible for thoroughly checking their custom commission progress or proofs for approval. I take full responsibility for making corrections if any errors are identified in the final product that were not present in the progress image for approval/proof.
Cancellations are allowed anytime until work has begun on your sketch. Once work has begun, I cannot offer any refunds or exchanges on custom work.
I do not accept commission orders from any persons under the age of 18.
All commissions and custom orders are undertaken on the basis that these conditions are accepted.

COMMISSION PROCESS
THE PROCESS ✍🏻
To be added to the Work Queue from the Wait List, you must pay your invoice in full once it is sent. If you do not pay or email me within 48 hours, your spot will be given to the next person on the Wait List. You may cancel your commission anytime until work has begun on your sketch. Once work has begun, I cannot offer any refunds. All direct commission payments must be made via Square which accepts most major credit cards.
For commissions over $100 you have the option to pay in full or make a 50% down payment. I require a 50% deposit up front and 50% deposit upon completion of the finalized sketch before moving into the final render for all orders over $100.
I will invoice you directly when it is your turn, please do not attempt to send payments/jump the line before I have sent you an invoice.
WHAT YOU RECEIVE 💌
All digital files are 8x10in 600 DPI JPEGs (or 8x8 for square images). This is standard unless a specific size/ratio is requested.
You are only receiving a digital file (JPEG) for all digital commissions, not a physical item unless you choose the physical print add-on when you order. You can also email me after your commission is complete to request additional prints of your commission.
The default medium for all commissions is digital art - specifically requesting a traditional art commission will be an additional charge, and purchasing the physical art piece will be an additional charge from the commission process.
No artwork rights are transferred with sales.
Backgrounds - The default for all commissions is my tan/grayscale toned paper background, unless otherwise requested. Alternate backgrounds - Single colors, simple shapes/patterns, or transparent backgrounds are available at no extra charge. Complex backgrounds (any scenes, objects, etc) are available for an additional charge.
SHARING YOUR ART 🌎
I do not allow commercial use for personal commissions, but you may share the work online and use it for public profile pictures (please tag/link to me, if possible!). You may also print the work for personal use only.
TIMING ⏰
Processing times vary depending on the type and size of work, complexity, season, and amount of commissions I currently have- Please refer to the Commission Queue board for my current Wait List and any upcoming events. Commissions are on a first-come, first-served basis. The Wait List and Work Queue are in priority order from top-bottom. If you have a rush order or specific date in mind, please specify that on your form and I will try my best to accommodate.
General time estimates (not including Work Queue/Wait List times):
Sketches: 1-2 working days
Line Art: 2-3 working days
Shading/Full Color: 3-5 working days

I have the right to refuse any order based on content I’m not comfortable creating - I will message you if I’m unable to work on your request.
